A Prayer for the Dharma Service

By Venerable Master Hsing Yun
Founder of Fo Guang Shan

Oh great, compassionate Buddha!
I am a devout disciple.
I would like to report to you:

Whenever I participate in a Dharma service,
It is the best time to communicate with you;
Seeing our Dharma brothers and sisters in the Dharma Service,
I feel a Dharma connection with them
I feel that the Dharma realms are in peace and harmony.

In such auspicious and peaceful atmosphere,
All gossips and troubles are instantly behind me;
All ignorance and afflictions immediately disappear.

In our Dharma Service,
Virtuous people teach us about the Dharma,
Wholesome friends help us to improve.
I am profoundly grateful for these wholesome conditions.

Oh great, compassionate Buddha!
I will follow your teachings and admonitions,
I will exalt your spirit of joyous giving to benefit others and serve society;
I will follow your example of propagating the Dharma and benefiting all beings,
I will progress diligently without ceasing.

Oh Buddha!
As I attend Dharma services again and again,
I pray that you will
Support us with compassion;
Guide us with wisdom;
Bless us with brightness;
And refresh us with Dharma nectar.

May we be in good health;
May our careers be without obstruction;
May our families be blissful and happy;
May our minds be pure and peaceful;
May our society be harmonious and joyous;
May our country be prosperous and safe;
May we respect and embrace all,
May we attain perfection and be at ease.

Oh great, compassionate Buddha,
Please accept my sincerest prayers!
Oh great, compassionate Buddha,
Please accept my sincerest prayers!
